S2S ICO of WMO
- Management of the international coordination office(ICO) for the Subseasonal to Seasonal(S2S) prediction project of the World Meteorological Organization(WMO), in order to narrow the seamless prediction from 2 weeks to seasonal time scales
Hydrometeorology
- Ananysis and forecast information for hydrometeorology with high resolution, based on observation and modeling in order to support the nation's hydrometeorology work
International ARGO program and the coastal areas observation around Korea
- Operating the ARGO float observation and performing the regular observation of specified station using research vessel-Gisang1.
- Research of air-sea interactions and ocean environment variation using observed data.
Development of Global Ocean Data Assimilation and Prediction System (GODAPS)
- GODAPS outputs are used for the global ocean and sea-ice prediction, ocean initialization of Global Seasonal Forecast System of KMA, and boundary conditions of regional ocean circulation system.
Operational Wave Prediction System
- Use for marine weather forecast using the marine meteorological prediction system
- Provide the marine weather information and support the safe maritime activities
